Portofino Condos in Puerto Vallarta , Mexico

Puerto Vallarta - Porto Fino

After a two and a half hour flight from LA, we landed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This is really perfect weather, 80 to 85 during the day and cooling off to the mid 60's at night. Absolutely great pool weather! We were met by our friends Paul and Anne who picked us up, took us to the grocery store for groceries and beer, then on to our apartment at the Porto Fino in the Marina area of Pureto Vallarta.

The pictures below show the Porto Fino and the pools which are right on the ocean! The water in the pool is around 85F all of the time and the ocean water temperature is much the same. The Porto Fino is a residential condo building with many units rented out to longer term tourists. Units include one bedroom, two and three bedroom units and of course penthouse units on the top floor.

The following pictures are all taken from our condo while we are here. Val, Pat and Carol are having a good laugh on our balcony, which overlooks the pool.

The beach in front of our condo is a great place to walk and many people also jog. We found that not many people are swimming in the ocean anywhere due to the surf and possibilities of undertow. Most people seem to prefer the pools that come with every hotel and condo. There are much better beaches downtown and also in Bucerias. We have added a collection of pictures of the pool, the beach and the ocean in front of the Porto Fino, the last two taken from the 12th floor.

There are usually 4 or 5 cruise ships that visit Puerto Vallarta every week. We are able to see them from our balcony as shown below. They are especially pretty at night when they are all lit up and leaving the port of Puerto Vallarta.
