The
following pictures are a collection of pictures that
we have taken while in the Puerto Vallarta area.
There are many great restaurants with the expected
Mexican fare as well as traditional Canadian and
US meals. In fact there are a lot of restaurants
that are owned by Canadians.
The
crowds are low this year, mainly due to the economy.
In fact it seems there are more Canadians here than
there are Americans this year.
We
watched the sunset from Cheeky Monkey's restaurant
on the 3rd floor which gives us a great view of the
Malecon ( beach boardwalk) as well as the ocean.
It is amazing how fast the sun disappears into the
ocean! Perhaps the beer helped as well.
.
The
picture on the left is again at Cheeky Monkeys. We
met our friends from Belfast, Ottawa and Phili. I
just could not resist taking the picture on the right.
Usually they are in the water or sitting on boats.

The
next four pictures show a condo we saw that is decorated
with traditional Mexican furniture. You can purchase
this condo if you have more than $500k

.
A
restaurant along the Malecon that sells fresh coconuts,
fish and oysters. We did not try this particular
restaurant. I think you may need a particularly strong
stomach! The picture on the right shows a troupe
of performers. They climb to the top of the pole,
and drop off spinning and playing music as they slowly
descend to the ground.
.
We celebrated valentines with a few pre-dinner drinks
of tequila and margaritas, then a delicious seafood
dinner along the Marina.
.
There
are so many restaurants along the beach it is impossible
to try them all. This particular one called Daiquiri
Dicks is well known and has great food, along with
impromptu entertainment.
