South Coast Wineries

There is lots to do in the Palms Springs area and one of these is to visit several wineries, which are about an hour away. We visited the Temicula area which is well know for some of California's wines. Along Washington road, there are approximately ten wineries to visit, complete with tours and wine tasting. South Coast Wineries was one that we stopped at to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine.

This particular winery is a large one with arbors leading into the main building which houses the restaurant and the wine store at South Coast Wineries.

This winery also caters to large parties and weddings with both an outdoor area as well as a huge veranda and indoor meeting rooms and restaurant at South Coast Wineries.

We had lunch on the Veranda and enjoyed it very much. Beautiful day and great food at South Coast Wineries. One work of caution to anyone considering a purchase directly from the winery. They will advertise sales and great prices and many people purchase wine directly from the vinyard. We compared prices on purchases we made at a local store in Palm Springs and found that we paid way too much by buying direct! There are better deals for exactly the same thing at your local grocery store!
