The
picture below is a little fuzzy. I guess I could
not hold the camera sufficiently still, however I
think you get the idea of the fantastic view that
we had from the 51st floor of the Wynn hotel.
.
This
visit to Las Vegas was in the middle of April and
we are celebrating our 36th anniversary and Carol's
birthday. Valerie, who is a great friend of Carols,
joined us in Vegas. We really had an excellent time.
One of the hi-lights of this trip was dinner at a
restaurant at the Wynn Casino and Hotel called Daniel
Boulad. We sat in the bar waiting for our table(picture
on the left) and then moved out to the terrace overlooking
a scene that is reminiscent of a small mountain lake
with a beautiful water fall. Carol is shown here
with a bucket of mussels!
The
service was excellent. Our reservation was for 8pm,
however we could not get to our table until almost
9! No problem, the restaurant provided us with an
extra round of drinks, an appetizer on the house
and caviar on oysters to compensate! Wow!
.
.
Desert,
although not large was also on the house and inscribed
with chocolate on the plates, were "Happy Anniversary
and Happy Birthday". Talk about service. I would
recommend this restaurants as a must visit, if you
have not had the opportunity.
All
of the hotels go out of their way to entertain their
patrons and the Wynn leads the pack in this regard.
Every 30 minutes, there would be small show on the
lake in front of us along with music. These pictures
below really do not do justice to the scene and the
atmosphere! The water becomes frothy, changes color
and then various images are shown on the waterfall
which acts like a giant screen.

The
background music was , who else, but Garth Brooks.
Amazing! What a setting to celebrate our anniversary
and birthdays!
We
are heading back to Palm Springs next to spend the
rest of our vacation.
