Our trip includes Niagara Falls, Mississippi, California, Nevada and Utah

We stayed at the Aquarius Hotel shown below for a week while we explored Laughlin. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of the Colorado River. Unfortunately like all of the casino hotels they still allow smoking in the casino and to compensate they spray some kind of deodorant into the air. Not a good combination and not very pleasant either.

The meals were fine, in fact the buffet includes beer and wine with your meal, with no limits on how much you can drink. They have a nice patio area were you can enjoy your coffee and soak up some sun.

We spent the week touring around, looking at homes and condos. Some were very nice, however we found the prices pretty high, not what we expected and not even close to the caliber of Palm Springs. Many were in locations were there was a lot of wind which also is not pleasant. During the week we also went to a place called Lake Havasu which is also on the Colorado River at a location were it broadens out to form a beautiful manmade lake. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures. Nice but not really for us. We looked at 7 or 8 condos and only one was interesting.

On the left below is the Tropicana Express and the Colorado Bell on the right. There are approximately 8 or 9 casinos on the Nevada side of the Colorado River.

The pictures below show the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada. Across the river is a small town called Bullhead on the Arizona side of the river. We are 90 miles from Las Vegas!.

We stayed at Harrahs ( Right hand Picture) for a few days. It was very smoky and dark. Not a great place for us, so we left and headed for Vegas.

We also spent one day at an old mining town called Oatman. It is on route 66 and is a unique spot to visit.
