We spent
the week touring around, looking at homes and condos.
Some were very nice, however we found the prices
pretty high, not what we expected and not even close
to the caliber of Palm Springs. Many were in locations
were there was a lot of wind which also is not pleasant.
During the week we also went to a place called Lake
Havasu which is also on the Colorado River at a location
were it broadens out to form a beautiful manmade
lake. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures.
Nice but not really for us. We looked at 7 or 8 condos
and only one was interesting.
On the
left below is the Tropicana Express and the Colorado
Bell on the right. There are approximately 8 or 9
casinos on the Nevada side of the Colorado River.

The
pictures below show the Colorado River in Laughlin,
Nevada. Across the river is a small town called
Bullhead on the Arizona side of the river. We are
90 miles from Las Vegas!.
.
We
stayed at Harrahs ( Right hand Picture) for a few
days. It was very smoky and dark. Not a great place
for us, so we left and headed for Vegas.
We
also spent one day at an old mining town called Oatman.
It is on route 66 and is a unique spot to visit.
