Las Vegas, Nevada

We left Palm Springs, California early on Sunday morning, Oct 28th for Las Vegas, Nevada. We plan to spend 2 days there at New York New York hotel and casino. The pictures below were taken at night without the use of a tripod, so they are not the best in terms of clarity. However you will appreciate the many lights and action in Las Vegas at night.

The picture on the left is taken from the bridge between the MGM Grand and the New York New York hotels looking north towards the Paris Hotel which can be seen in the distance. The picture on the right is the front of the New York New York hotel. The Montecarlo can also be seen in distance in the middle of the picture.

We are on our way home from Palm Springs and Las Vegas. Only 4500 KM's to go before we make it home. We left a small deposit in Las Vegas roughly equal to the cost of two rooms which we were comp'd for so I guess it is not a total loss, however would have been nice to win some money while we were here. Someone has to pay for these beautiful hotels. We are leaving Las Vegas tomorrow, Oct 30, for Flagstaff , Arizona and then on to Santa Fe , New Mexico. I will be adding more pics and some commentary once we visit Santa Fe.
