The
Responsibilities of the neighborhood block members
are as follows:
Acts
as eyes and ears for their neighbors and reports
any suspicious activity.
Studies crime prevention materials furnished to them.
Checks
neighbor’s homes when they are out-of-town.
Cooperates and assists the Block Captain.
Participates in Operation Identification.
Helps
improve the general neighborhood home security.
The
strength of the Neighborhood Watch block depends on committed neighbors
helping one another. Everyone has something they can do to help:
Help
neighbors secure their homes.
Help
a senior citizen trim shrubbery or install lighting.
Haul
clippings to the dump or arrange for a drop box on the block.
Offer
your home for a follow-up meeting.
Arrange
the details for a block party.
Write
and distribute occasional Neighborhood Watch block newsletters.
Loan
your engraver.
Escort
seniors to the grocery store.
Offer
to copy Neighborhood Watch block information.
