Easy Ways To Be Amid Nature With Hydroponics
By Jason Uvios
Are you a weekend gardener? What’s the reason behind it? The most viable answer is definitely you don’t have ample time to spare for gardening. And all of you love the serenity that nature showers on you. But only a few of you willfully dedicate time to soil your hands and nurture a beautiful flower or healthy ripened fruit. And some of you out of this tedious labor give up gardening as a whole.

Well this cannot be an excuse if you are really a nature-lover. Even if it is so, now you can shed off all the dirt and disgust associated with sowing, plough and preparing the soil base and growing a plant. There’s a superb alternative to make your home lively, refreshing, pious and beautiful without the slightest effort. Start gardening with hydroponics system.

Initial phase

Hydroponics has got a leaps and bounds popularity in the last decade. But things had already initiated during the first phase of the twentieth century. During the early 1930s the plant nutritionists found this to be an excellent alternative mode of cultivation. They extended their research and finally reached to the point of today’s way of plant culturing with the hydroponics system.

Present hydroponical advantage

Presently the biggest advantage of hydroponics is that there is a direct connection between nutrient supply and nutrient absorption by the plants. In traditional farming the process is not so. The nutrients have to be broken down through

decomposition and that takes place in the natural way within the soil. The tiny pores of the roots can then absorb the nutrients and oxygen from the soil. Then gradually the roots transport everything to the shoots.

In hydroponics what happens?

- Nutrients are present in the solution itself. Actually the solution is prepared with the necessary N, P, and K components. Apart from nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, there are trace minerals as well like magnesium and Epsom salts.
- Secondly these nutrients can be readily absorbed by the plant roots when they come in contact with the solution. To give a better support to the plants, sometimes the hydroponics gardeners make use gravel or sand. As these materials are not thick as soil and very much porous in nature, they can easily allow water to pass into the roots of the plants along with the nutrients.

Thus if you want to shape a small garden inside your house, what can be a better way than to go for hydroponics gardening? This is at par with latest way of living.
