One Tree Hill: K-fed Upbeat On Role Whether you love him or hate him for it, there's no denying that performer Kevin Federline is getting a lot out of his stint on the CW teen drama series One Tree Hill. Federline, or K-Fed as he's colloquially known, is arguably most famous (or infamous) for being the ex-husband of pop phenomenon Britney Spears. Even after their divorce, he's still tangling with her in a legal battle for custody of their two children, with the former backup dancer and rapper citing his ex-wife's erratic public behavior as proof of Spears being unfit for parenthood. Despite this ongoing tussle, K-Fed took some time out in an interview with Extra to gush about working for the CW.
Federline stated that he was really into his acting gig, and that he loved every bit of it. He claims that he initially didn't know how much he would enjoy acting on the show when he first started, though by now he's filmed two sessions already. He has also signed a contract by now with the show producers for his character to become a series regular, a major step up from the
recurring role he had previously. During the fifth season, Federline's character is a musician with the ambition of becoming a successful rock star. K-Fed has described his character as a self-obsessed wannabe, who takes himself a tad too seriously.
Among his previous acting credits are a guest role on CSI, an appearance in an insurance ad, and the movie You Got Served. Federline also worked as a clothing model back in 2006 for the Blue Marlin company based in San Francisco, where he helped showcase their Five Star Vintage line. And though he says that making music is still one of his passions, he's more focused nowadays on acting. K-Fed also received positive feedback from Mark Schwahn, an executive producer for One Tree Hill.
