Home Hints - Recycling 1.PLASTIC BOXES Fruits sell in supermarket s like prunes, grapes or strawberries usually are packed in plastic boxy containers with holes punched in them. You can recycle these by putting vegetables inside and wash it under running water. Or alternatively you can use it to store uncooked vegetables.
2.OLD CLOTHINGS BUTTONS Before throwing away your old clothing or kids clothing, snip off the buttons and put it in a jar. You can recycle these buttons in your kids’ art n craft. Or you can use them to jazz up your picture frame, scrapbook or journal etc. In addition, you can use the buttons to store your earrings by inserting the earrings inside the holes of the button for easy finding. 3.EGG TRAYS Recycle the egg trays you get from the “mama” shop or supermarket. You can use them as jelly moulds. Or you can use them in craft projects. Example uses them to separate beads, gemstones and crystals by types and
colors
when making jewellerys. Kids can also use them as paint palettes when
doing painting.
4.CARDS Any kind of expired top-up cards
or phone cards can be recycle. Since these cards have beautiful and
nice pictures, you can punch a hole on the card and insert ribbon or
string inside the hole and tie a knot at the top which you can use
as bookmark either for yourself or kids. Or you can cut the card into
many shapes and sizes for kids to play as puzzles.
5.HAND CREAM
OR OIL-BASED MOISTURISER
Don’t throw away your expired hand cream or oil-based moisturizer as
it can be use to prolong the life of your favorite leather purse or
handbag. Simply apply a thin layer of it on the purse or handbag before
using. This not only will help to keep the surface of leather shiny,
it also prevents the skin from wrinkling. Try this method on other
leather goods you have.
